English tenor Jeremy Ovenden is acknowledged as one of the world's finest interpreters of Mozart.

Jeremy Ovenden studied with Norman Bailey and Neil Mackie at he
Royal College of Music, London and privately with Nicolai Gedda.

Opera plans this season and beyond include Nerone L’Incoronazione di
for Opéra National de Paris; Tigrane Radamisto at Theater an
der Wien and Bajazet in Handel Tamerlano in Brussels and Amsterdam in a co-production between La Monnaie and Netherlands Opera.

Concert plans include Haydn Creation with the Orchestra dell'Accademia di Santa Cecilia, Rome, and in London with the LSO, both with Sir Colin Davis; Creation and Messiah with the RAI orchestra, Turin; Spohr Die Letzten Dinge with the Salzburg Mozarteum Orchestra
and Ivor Bolton; Handel Il Trionfo del Tempo on a European tour with the Double Bande and René Jacobs; Britten Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings with the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra; Britten War Requiem with the Strasbourg Philharmonic and Danish National Orchestras; Handel L’Allegro, Il Penseroso and Purcell Dido and Aeneas with the Gabrieli Consort and Paul McCreesh; Messiah with the Academy of Ancient Music and Bernard Labadie; Mozart Requiem with the BBCSSO and Donald Runnicles and, in 2015, the title role in Monteverdi Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria also with the AAM and Richard Egarr.

Jeremy recently sang Ferrando Così fan tutte for The Royal Opera, Covent Garden and the Staatsoper, Berlin; Belfiore La Finta Giardiniera and Jupiter in Handel Semele at La Monnaie, Brussels; Don Ottavio in Mozart Don Giovanni in Berlin with Daniel Barenboim and the title role in Monteverdi Orfeo, Oronte in Handel Alcina; Ilio in Cavalli Ercole Amante for Netherlands Opera and Male Chorus The Rape of Lucretia in Genova and Florence.

In 2004, Jeremy made his debut at La Scala, Milan in Salieri Europa Riconosciuta conducted by Riccardo Muti and has returned to sing Don Ottavio with Gustavo Dudamel and Oronte Alcina with Giovanni Antonini.

Concert appearances include Elijah with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra; The Seasons with the LSO and Colin Davis, Deutsche Symphonie Orchester and Andrew Manze and at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival with Paul McCreesh; Szymanowski Symphony No 3
with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vladimir Jurowski; Berlioz L’Enfance du Christ with the MDR Symphony Orchestra; Belfiore La Finta Giardiniera and Handel Saul on European tours with René Jacobs; Haydn Harmoniemesse with Sir Simon Rattle and the OAE. His regualar appearances with Nikolaus Harnoncourt have included Mozart
Betulia Liberata at the Vienna Musikverein and Mozart Litaniae de venerabili altaris Sacramento at the Salzburg Festival, where Jeremy has also sung Fracasso La Finta Semplice; Don Asdrubale Lo Sposo Deluso and Biondello L’Oco del Cairo; Mozart Mass in C Minor with Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Betulia Liberata conducted by Christophe
Poppen. Jeremy has also recently sung Haydn and Mozart with Le Cercle de l’harmonie and Jeremie Rohrer and Ensemble Orchestral de Paris and Fabio Biondi.

Jeremy’s extensive discography includes Bach St Mark Passion and St John Passion and Cantatas; Handel Saul; Haydn The Seasons and The Creation; Mozart Il Sogno di Scipione; Betulia Liberata; La Finta Semplice; L’Oca del Cairo and Lo Sposo Deluso.  His cd of Mozart arias with the OAE prompted David Cairns of The Sunday Times to comment:
